The Stone Castle Hotel , Branson, MO

Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Branson delivers on its promise of adventure for the entire family. But, every great family vacation begins with a relaxing place to stay. The Stone Castle Hotel and Conference Center offers comfort, affordability, and a touch of whimsy that’s sure to delight everyone. Built to resemble a stone castle, this independently owned hotel provides friendly service and, probably more importantly for the kids, lots of displays of armor. Here’s what you’ll want to know before visiting.

Thanks to The Stone Castle Hotel for providing us accomodations during our trip to Branson. All opinions are our own.

The Stone Castle Hotel

Spread across three buildings, this property is one of the most unusual in Branson. From the first glance of the hotel, driving under the Stone Arch, to stepping inside the great room with a roaring fire and knights bedecked in Christmas hats and scarfs, you’ll see why.  It has a variety of themed rooms, ranging from the wild, wild west to visions of around the world, and plenty of medieval aspects on the outside. The outside views offer a peek at the Ozark mountains in the distance and a gazebo and garden area that’s perfect for relaxing.

They are conveniently located on Green Mountain Drive, about a mile from the hustle and bustle of the busy Highway 76 “strip.” The accommodations here are quieter, but still convenient to all of the shows and attractions in Branson. Better yet, the hotel boasts they offer ‘clean, comfortable rooms at reasonable prices.’

Accommodations

No matter who you are traveling with or what sort of vacation you plan, the Stone Castle Hotel has options for all your needs.  They have 299 guest rooms, including some unique rooms you won’t find at any other location!

Standard Rooms- These rooms are available in single king, single queen, or double king. The rooms come complete with pillow-top comfort beds and hypoallergenic pillows to ensure a good night’s sleep.  I found the mattress was a medium firmness-not too firm, but not too soft.  All the rooms come equipped with a mini-fridge and coffee maker. This is a money saver for me because I’m never able to finish my meals when I eat out. This allows me to bring them back to my room for later snacking!  While the rooms do not include microwaves, there is a microwave available for guests on the ground floor of each building.

Family Suites- Planning a trip for the entire family? The Stone Castle Hotel has you covered with one of their four family suites. These rooms include two bedrooms, one with double queen beds and one with a single king, and two bathrooms.  These rooms include microwaves, along with all of the amenities included in the standard rooms.

Themed Rooms– The themed rooms are one of the cute touches that make the hotel so unique. No matter what your mood, you’ll probably find a suite for you. The Stone Castle has partnered with several local businesses including the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre, the Dolly Parton Stampede, The Titanic attraction,  and Clay Cooper’s theatre to make each stay an experience. The local businesses have decorated the suites with their own unique touches to capture the essence of their attraction. The Dolly Parton Suite, complete with murals of horses, a quirky rope lamp, and a rocking horse will delight kids and horse lovers alike.

The Outback Suite includes murals of some of Australia’s most famous animals, along with a jetted tub.

One of my favorite rooms was the Captain’s Quarters Room. Designed to resemble an 18th-century sailing vessel, this room features wood paneling and nautical touches like a ship’s wheel above the bed. With the jetted tub and accompanying balcony, this room is perfect for a romantic weekend escape.

Jetted Tub Room– Another option for the romantic weekend or a girlfriend’s weekend is the jetted tub room. Who wouldn’t enjoy a long leisurely soak in one of these huge tubs?

Some of the Amenities at The Stone Castle Hotel

*Free Wi-fi– It’s important for me to stay connected when I’m on the road.  Whether you need to stay connected continuously or just want to check in on social media, free wi-fi is the way to go.
*Free Parking-One of the best money savers I’ve found when traveling is finding accommodations with free parking. The Stone Castle hotel has abundant free parking, most of which is located within quick reach of the buildings.

The indoor pool located in building two.

*Two Swimming Pools & Hot Tubs– Located in buildings two and three, the pools, along with the hot tubs, are heated and indoors. It’s easy to keep the kids entertained during any season when indoor pools are available.
*Free Breakfast Buffet-When planning to save money on a vacation, finding a hotel that serves a good breakfast buffet is a must.  The Stone Castle Hotel provides a variety of hot and cold foods each morning. One bar consists of hot dishes, such as bacon, eggs, biscuits, and sausage gravy.  If you prefer lighter fare, there’s cereal, fruit, and yogurt. Open daily from 6:30 am until 9:30 am, the breakfast area seats 150 people. There’s no excuse to miss breakfast!
