Microsoft Office 365 Helps me #Getitdone

office365

The holidays are one of my biggest times of year. I am busy coordinating Thanksgiving dinner at my home, shopping for Christmas and Birthday presents, baking for all the events we attend and combining this with my usual chores and errands, doctor visits for my dad and daughter and working on my blog. With all the responsibilities I have organization is a must. Yes, I have had the embarrassment of calling my son’s orthodontist at 9:15 one morning to tell them, “Whoops! We forgot all about our 9 AM appointment. Can we reschedule?” After that fiasco I began to write lists, lots and lots of lists. If I remotely thought about doing it onto the list it went. This posed a problem because I began to misplace my lists. “Did someone see my list of errands? What was I supposed to be doing?” became the norm. I realized I could remember all those important dates, errands and chores if I wrote them down online immediately.

My life became easier when I discovered Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium software. Store all my files in SkyDrive so they are safely in a cloud? Yes, please. No files lost if my computer gets hacked and the ability to access and to my files from anywhere was like a dream come true. I always have my best ideas or remember something I have to when I not able to get to a pencil and paper. Now it doesn’t matter. I can add it to my list on the computer or on my smart phone no matter where I am; waiting in a long checkout line, sitting in the doctor’s office, while I am out shopping. Microsoft Office 365 has all the software I need, Excel, One Note, PowerPoint, Publisher and Visio to help me stay organized and #getitdone!

Here’s some of the ways I use Microsoft Office 365 around my home and while on the go:

Blogging Calendar—I have an Excel Blogging calendar that has been a lifesaver. Storing it online means I can make quick changes if I need to switch a posting date and helps me access it if I am traveling.
Errand List—Wednesdays are my errand days. I try to cram as much as possible into the 3 ½ hours I have. One Note allows me to keep notes of everything I need to accomplish. Plus, I can check in on my One Note mobile app to make sure I never forget another errand.
Daily Appointment Calendar–helps me remember all the doctor appointments that get scheduled into our life!

According to a recent study conducted online by Harris Interactive on behalf of Microsoft, more than half of office workers (53%) would be willing to work more hours—and one in five would be willing to take a pay cut—to have more flexibility in where and when they got work done. If you need more time in your day, the latest version of Office 365 Home Premium includes a license for up to five devices,  an additional 20 GB of SkyDrive cloud storage, nearly three times the amount available with a free SkyDrive account, 60 free Skype world calling minutes per month to call mobile phones, landlines or PCs around the world, future upgrades and an automatic save to SkyDrive so your documents are available from almost anywhere and on your favorite devices.
