Great Gifts For Last-Minute Shoppers

Christmas shopping is no fun when you have a hard-to-buy-for shopper on your list. Maybe the holidays have sneaked up on you and you’re not sure what to buy. Today we’re sharing some of our own favorite finds that would be Great Gifts for Last-Minute Shoppers.

Great Gifts for Last-Minute Shoppers

Whether you have a foodie, friend’s or neighbor’s kids, or a baker in your family, we’ve got you covered.

For the Foodie:

Tidbits Fun Bites Meringue Cookies— People with special diets no longer have to miss out on their holiday treats with the Tidbits Fun Bites Meringue Cookies. Not only are their products sugar-free, lactose-free, gluten-free, cholesterol-free, soy-free, non-GMO, and made with all-natural ingredients, they’re available in 3 lines; Diabetic, Keto, and Regular. Even better, these bite-sized morsels range from around 1 to 2 calories per piece.

Available in 6 different flavors; Cookies n Cream, Cappuccino, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, and Vanilla, these are great additions for holiday dessert trays and cookie trays. Smooth enough to melt in your mouth, you won’t feel guilty about indulging on these Tidbits!

Gindo’s Spice of Life– Every year my daughter requests a batch of hot sauce as one of her Christmas presents. She believes, like the “Gindo’s,” that hot sauce is more than just an afterthought, it’s a way to add flavor and inspire creativity in the kitchen. Gindo’s Spice of Life hot sauces do all that and more. Their Original Gift Box, available all year, includes 3 (8-ounce) bottles of sauce: Jalapeno Poblano, a vibrant and zesty sauce with a mild finish, the Original Fresh and Spicy, a tangy and sweet sauce with a spicy finish, and Honey Habanero, a lusciously sweet sauce with a fiery finish.

Each year they also produce their limited edition, small-batch “Ghost of Christmas” sauces.  The 2020 batch includes the Ghost of Christmas Past sauce, a fruity concoction with hints of pineapple, mango, and peach, the Ghost of Christmas Present sauce, infused with onion, garlic, and flavored salts, and the Ghost of Christmas Future sauce, with hints of tomato, carrot, olive, and capers.  All of the sauces are gluten-free and a great way to add flavor without added calories or fat.  They support small businesses by partnering with local breweries and other businesses to produce limited edition sauces with craft beer, cider, coffee, and more. Can’t get enough? They have a Sauce of the Month club!

For Kids:

Mad Mattr Activity Sets: I love encouraging creative play and the Mad Mattr Activity sets do just that. What is Mad Mattr? It’s a super-soft non-toxic building compound that can be shaped however you like. Kids who are allergic to regular types of molding compounds (and those who aren’t) will love Mad Mattr because it is wheat, gluten, and casein free. Plus, it never dries out and can be cleaned up quickly and easily! We received three sets to try: The Burger Activity Set, The Bakery Activity Set, and the Ice Cream Activity Set.

Baking Activity Set

The Burger Activity Set includes 3 colors of Mad Mattr in red, yellow, and blue, 5 molds to help create the perfect burger and fries, a burger box, a fries box, and a safe cutting tool. The Bakery Kit includes 4 colors of Mad Mattr (pink, purple, orange, yellow), t7 molds to make cookies, cakes, and doughnuts, and a safe cutting tool.

Burger Activity Kit

The Ice Cream Activity Set includes 3 colors of Mad Mattr (pink, orange, and white), along with 3 molds, 2 “ice cream cones,” a popsicle stick, a scoop, and a safe cutting tool. Designed for ages 3 and up, these kits will keep kids’ attention and foster imagination.

Ice Cream Activity Kit

Blume Dolls– Blume toys, declared the hottest toy of 2019 by Good Housekeeping, keeps the trend “growing” this year with their new collections of adorable dolls. A sprinkle of water added to these dolls gives a surprise as these dolls grow in front of your eyes. Check out these cuties:

  • Blume Flower Pot Girls– Series 2 of the Flower Pot Girls brings a new crop of 22 dolls to collect. Sprinkle water on the pot using the enclosed watering can and see which doll will appear. These new dolls are “sunsational” and have hair that will change color in the sun. Each pot is a miniature playset and includes accessories that can be mixed and matched with other dolls.
  • Blume Petal Pets- Every girl needs to have a pet. With the Petal Pets, as with the Flower Pot Girls, water is sprinkled over the top to reveal one of 12 collectible pets. Each Petal Pet includes a bracelet and a charm.
  • Blume Baby Pops– In Series 2, this new scented babies kit comes with 25 surprises. There are 8 sweet scents available ranging from cotton candy to strawberry. Kids will be able to dress them in cozy outfits and give them baths for a gender reveal (will they have blue or pink diapers?) Each package includes 3 snuggle buddies, accessories, and rainbow water beads that expand in water. The container can be transformed into one of five surprise designs, a beach, a hot springs, a mountain resort, a spa, or a garden.
  • Blume Flowerpot Girls Rainbow Sparkle Surprise- This bundle includes three Flowerpot Girls playsets with a special surprise-rainbow sparkle hair. The package includes 25 or more surprises and has a rainbow to help the dolls blume. Just place it over the pots, press the button, and watch the “rain” shower down on the pots. After the dolls have bloomed, the rainbow can be used again and again over small pots or real flowers.

Let it Snow Cloud Slime We live in the South where, though the temperatures drop to uncomfortable levels, it rarely snows. We’ve fixed that problem with the Let It Snow Cloud Slime. One package of this slime, mixed with water, will make two gallons of “snow” for decorating, creating cute winter scenes, or just for playing. Once water is added, this safe and non-toxic slime will expand to 100 times its normal size. Even better, it looks like normal snow!

Use the Let it Snow powder for science experiments and STEM learning, for crafting Snowman ornaments, or for anywhere you would like a snowy look. This was a creative activity and perfect for family bonding while we made our own winter scene.

For Pampering:

Want to make someone feel good? Let them know they deserve some pampering. Fuzzy socks are one of my favorite things to receive in my stocking, especially when it is accompanied by a face mask from Spalife. The Radiance Facial Mask retails for $4.00 and is designed to give dull winter skin a radiant glow. Infused with vitamin C and rosehip oil. this mask is sulfate and paraben-free. The cute ornament shape makes it the perfect stocking stuffer.

Some of my favorite finds in my own kitchen:

If you enjoy baking, here are some products I’ve purchased over the years that make my time in the kitchen much easier.

KitchenAid Professional 5™ Plus Series 5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer– If you are a baker, you can’t beat this mixer for performance. It has ten speeds, making it capable of mixing the thickest dough, and the bowl lift action keeps the bowl steady. It’s an expensive appliance (at around $400), but the hands-free function saves me so much time. This is one of the most used small appliances in my kitchen.

I love the Matte Black design that goes well with stainless steel or black appliances.

Instant Pot Instant Vortex 6-Quart Air Fryer Another one of my most used appliances, I researched carefully before choosing this model. The 6-quart capacity makes it large enough to prepare meals for a family of 4, there’s no sharp learning curve on how to use it, and it saves so much time in the kitchen. I use it for everything from making patty melts to cooking rolls. This appliance retails for around $100.

The Calphalon Classic Self-Sharpening 12-Piece Cutlery Set– A good knife set is essential in any kitchen and this one has performed for me for years. It includes the following: an 8-in. Chef’s Knife, a 6-in. Serrated Utility Knife, a 5-in. Santoku Knife, a 4.5-in. Parer, 6 Steak Knives, and kitchen shears, all contained in a Self-Sharpening Wood Knife Block. The block not only looks nice on my cabinet, the self-sharpening feature means I never have to worry about a dull knife. The set ranges around $180.

These are my go-to knives.

The T-Fal Air Bake Medium Cookie Sheet-The insulated sheet means no more burning your food. That’s part of their guarantee! The micro-dome base and light-colored top allow items to bake 15% faster, while the pan is dishwasher safe and guaranteed never to rust. I use it for all my cookie baking, place it under pies during baking, and use it to hold any candy I’m making that is going into the freezer. Best of all is the price at around $15.

This sheet comes in different sizes and is reasonably priced.

Do you have someone that is hard to shop for on your Christmas list? Which of these presents do you think they might like?

  12. Oh, a big yes for the Instant Pot 6qt! As a busy photography couple in Marietta, GA, we use our Instant Pot regularly. Running our studio takes ALL of our time, and we’d probably starve if we couldn’t load up our Pot with soup, chili, or stew ingredients and let it do its thing!
