If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, you know my pets are pretty spoiled. That’s why, when I was contacted by Golly Gear, a company owned by two sisters, Hope and Fran Saidel, who specialize in hard to find gear for small dogs, I jumped at the chance to work with them. We always have trouble finding the correct sized gear for Rio. He either too big or too small, nothing is just right. He’s also picky; if he doesn’t like the feel of an item on his body, he will gnaw it off or refuse to use it. Talk about picky! He’s even picky when he comes to pet carriers.
I wanted a car seat for Rio for multiple reasons; it would help keep him stable in a crash and he has a bad habit of walking around the car if he is not contained, scratching our legs as he goes. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Signature Pet Car Seat and Carrier for Small Dogs, up to 25 pounds. As soon as it arrived, I scooped Rio up and placed him in the car seat to check it out. Weighing in at 15 pounds, Rio had plenty of wiggle room and the fleece pad on the bottom of the seat kept him comfortable. I liked the top and side zippers, making it easy to remove Rio from the bag, along with the comfort carrying handles , which made him easy to transport.
We also received a Dexas Collapsible Travel Cup, perfect for the summer or while traveling. Rio likes to go on walks, but he gets thirsty along the way. This collapsible travel cup makes it easy to give him water. When he has finished drinking, we just collapse the cup back to its portable size and snap it onto a belt loop or leash. Not only was Rio happy with the cup, Trix was pretty impressed too when I added some Toy Temptations in Garlic/Parmesan flavor. He was ready to push Rio out of the way and help him with his treats!
Rio (and I) were pleased with both of our products and the personal service we received. Not only can I feel great about supporting a small family owned business, they automatically donate 10% of all profits to small dog rescue organizations.

I’d like the Busy Buddy Waggle Toy for our dog
That pet carrier is incredible! I need one for my smaller dog. I find a lot of things don’t fit her right. She’s got the skinny legs and sort of snout like the Chihuahua but her body is round and fat like the Pug and her eye area is very pug like. Clothing and harnesses are hard to fit right for my poor little Chug.
W don’t tajr our dog in the car often because it seemed unsafe. The car seat would make me feel much butter.
