The Fashionista Strikes Again- This time in costume!

“I want to dress like a princess!” My daughter exclaimed over and over when she was young. We kept a pile of dress up clothes lying around the house to cater to her whims.  She’s had to dress up as a Princess often over the years as she participated in school plays, Halloween parties and various other activities that required her to get her royal moves on.  As she got older it became harder to find the outfits she needed for all of her dress up activities.  She’s a freshman in college and we still have to find outfits for different occasions.

Since she has joined a sorority she has to attend all sorts of costume parties. She needed a costume that looked like a Christmas Fancy dress from Fancy Dress Ball.  They have all sorts of costumes for every sort of occasion. Whether she has to dress up as one of Santa’s elves to help hand out candy or dressing up for a 40’s inspired theme party, they have everything she might need, including wigs and shoes.

I wish I had found Fancy Dress Ball long ago. It would have saved me a lot of time searching around our city trying to find medieval costumes, Roman costumes, or Nun costumes. (Yes, she seemed to spend most of her time dressed up in some sort of outfit, none of which were easy for me, a not very competent seamstress, to make or find.)

They have costumes for men too. If you have a son who needs historical costumes or needs to dress up as Santa, they have a wide selection. Thankfully, so far my son has not taken an artistic and dramatic turn and hasn’t needed anything but Halloween costumes,  but they have a selection that could be used for those as well.
No matter what our age, we all still like to dress up a little sometimes.  Fancy Dress Ball can bring out the Princess  or the Prince in all of us.
