One of the fun things about going to conferences is getting a variety of new products to try, possibly from companies you’ve never heard of before, in your swag bag. BarkWorld was no different. We left with a tote bag full of fun pet products and tasty treats for our dogs and cats! Here’s what was inside:
Lucy Pet Products Pup a Dub Dub Gentle Puppy Fresh Shampoo– Lucy Pet Products are pet products with a cause. Inspired by a rescue pet, Lucy the Chihuahua, the company was founded to be cruelty free and to support animal welfare. The pet shampoos are high quality, smell great, and you’ll feel good knowing you’re supporting a family owned company while you bathe your dog! As we have three dogs who need regular bath time, this was a pretty exciting swag bag find. So far, the dogs seem to love it as much as we do!
Showsheeen Woof Pouf Deodorizing Bath Pouf- following up on our Lucy Pet Product shampoo, the deodorizing bath pouf is a great way to get your doggies clean on the go! This bath pouf for dogs has soap beads already in it, so all you have to do is add water. It’s good for up to 15 washes, and promises to eliminate those tough pet odors- including skunk spray! Luckily, we haven’t had to test it against skunk odor…yet.
Sleekez Grooming Blade– We also received the Sleekez Cat Grooming Blade, which is the perfect size for your cat or small dog! We’ve used it on our small dog after a bath for a full doggy spa day, and I have to say, he’s looking very nice. It’s perfect for long-haired cats, and may help eliminate hairballs by getting rid of some of that pesky loose fur before they can swallow it! The Sleekez also comes in a size for larger dogs, and a size for horses, to fit all your grooming needs.
Vetericyn Wound and Skin Spray– looking for an antibiotic free way to treat your dog’s hot spots or other minor skin irritations? Look no further than Vetericyn Wound and Skin Spray. No dogs? Don’t worry, this can be used on cats, horses, and other companion animals as well. It’s safe to use around their mouth and eyes, and it eliminates odor from wounds while killing E.Coli, salmonella, staph, and strep germs. We plan on keeping this around for the inevitable minor wounds that cats and dogs get from time to time.
Natural Pet Cat Anxiety and Stress liquid- Got a stressed out cat? We sure do. Check out this homeopathic formula to help reduce symptoms of stress in cats, including stress-licking! Pretty cool, right?
Tomlyn Relax & Calm Chews for Medium and Large Dogs– Our dogs are usually pretty chill animals, but there are a few things that just seem to get under their skin, like going to the vet! These tasty chews contain L-Tryptopan, an amino acid used to treat anxiety and sleep problems. We have a cranky old man dog (and we had a cranky old man cat for years) and one of our vet’s favorite suggestions was glucosamine and chondroitin. However, the kind we got at the vet was a liver flavored liquid, and it was hard to get down any animal that needed it. That’s why we love TLC Whole Life Health Biscuits. Pet Safe Busy Buddy Ultra Woofer– this was the first thing I noticed in our swag bag. When I held it up and said, “it’s for determined chewers,” my mom nodded grimly. We’ve tried all kinds of things for determined chewers, but it seems like our chewers are just too determined for the average toy. Well, not this one. We’ve given it a couple of weeks to see how it holds up, and I have good news! It’s still going strong. Our Ultra Woofer came with rawhide refills for when the dogs do finally chew away the middle section, but so far, we haven’t had to refill it. As with any chew toy, you’ll want to observe your dogs while they’re playing with this. So far though, all we have observed is hours of chewing fun! (It’s even stood up to a teething puppy. That’s serious!)
Full Moon Chicken Jerky treats- Chicken jerky, for dogs, made with human grade ingredients? Rio, Minnie, and Max say “sign us up!” I say sign them up too, because unlike some dog treats out there, it’s gluten free- so I won’t accidentally poison myself trying to give the dogs a tasty snack! It’s got a simple ingredient list: chicken and green tea extract. Nothing artificial or extra here! Even better? These treats are easy to find, as we’ve seen them several places since getting our bag from BarkWorld! They are also made in the USA.
Stella and Chewy’s, Chewy’s Chicken Meal Mixers- Are you like us, and have considered a raw food diet for your dog or cat, but wound up overwhelmed and decided against it? Well, Stella and Chewy’s is here to help. These meal mixers just go in with their regular food and provide a boost of nutrition from raw, whole foods. We were given the chicken flavor, which is 95% cage free chicken! That’s a lot of chicken. There are no fillers or grains in these mixers, and they’re gluten free- bonus for celiacs like me who may have pets licking their faces after mealtime. (Am I the only one who has gotten glutened that way)

Halo Pet Food is grain free, with no artificial ingredients or preservatives. They pride themselves on their easy to understand ingredients list, and the fact that pets just seem to love their food!
TropiClean Fresh Breath Plus Dental Chew- This trial sized dog chew in our bag not only helps freshen breath and clean teeth, it also promotes overall pet wellness! No one likes brushing dog teeth, and our dogs don’t seem to like it either. However, dog dental health is just as important as human dental health? What’s a pet lover to do? Supplement with dental chews, of course. These grain free, corn free, gluten free chews that we were provided are “Fresh Breath Plus Advanced Cleaning” and contain flaxseed and baking soda to get your pup’s teeth sparkly clean. We got a cute little dog shaped stress ball, so we could squeeze out our stress while looking at something adorable. This would look perfect on your desk in your home office, where your cats can knock it off repeatedly and pretend they are vanquishing it.

The Natural Pet Cat Anxiety and Stress liquid souds like somthing I could have used for my dad’s cat after he passed away. She was so stressed without him she lost some fur. Over time she did get better and had a nice life, lasting a few years longer than him.

The dog shaped stress ball sounds so adorable. I think the Aspen glow in the dark leash is an ideal gift for the special pet in the family, particularly with its four-foot length.
I never know there are so many cool products under great brands for pets to keep them better. Though we don’t have pets, it could help me gift some of these items to friends with pets.
What a great haul! My kids new favorite thing is to bathe and groom the dog. Unfortunately, it’s not the dog’s favorite thing!

Bark World seems to be like an awesome conference! I love the glow in the dark leash and the wound and skin spray. My fur baby sometimes scratches himself silly and I need to watch out for hot spots on his skin.
