The lazy, hazy days of summer have been in full swing at our house. Everyone is in slow motion, even the spoiled cats. That’s why I was glad to see the July Pet GiftBox, filled with fun toys for the cats, arrive. It gave them some motivation to exercise again. Humorously, the cats have discovered this box is for them. Whenever it arrives they make a beeline toward the box and try to pull out the toys as soon I open it. This month’s favorite, hands down, was the PetKing Cat Play Cave. If I had realized how much this toy would keep the cats occupied, I would have purchased one long ago! There is a ball attached inside that the cats love to bat, but they love to crawl through it and lay down in it too. I came through one day to see one of the cats had pushed the play cave into the middle of the floor, crawled in and fallen asleep.

The SmartyCat Knock Out Treat Toy–Once it is filled with treats, the cats can bat it with their paw to make it wobble. When it wobbles it dispenses a treat. It didn’t take long for the cats to discover they could get treats. They actually sit in a circle around the toy and take turns batting it with their paw.
The Claw Doodles Swat & Bobble with Catnip Inside–I fastened the suction cup to the back door and boom! cats were everywhere trying to discover the catnip located inside the toy’s head.
The Knob Goblins Toy-Hang this from the doorknob and watch the cats try to swat it and get to the catnip inside.

My kitty is a fat lazy cat. He would eat the treats and then leave the toys for the kids to play with!. But I always get the cat and dog their own stocking for the holidays.
