I spent weekends and summers on my Grandmother’s farm when I was growing up. There wasn’t a lot to do in the evenings out in the boondocks where she lived, so we would watch television. I was always annoyed with her television because it was big and clunky. I swear, she had purchased the biggest television she could find! Half of the time the picture was grainy or the actors were either a reddish or blue tint. I was fairly sure this was not high quality viewing. “I don’t think people are supposed to be blue,” I would complain. I swore when I was a grown up and could have my own television, I would get one with a high quality picture. We have a giant television , flat panel, that takes up half our wall. Our living room is weird shaped and the opposite wall holds a giant bay window. You cant watch television during the day or you’ll miss half the great graphics. There is no other wall or other way to arrange the furniture due to the way the room is made.
I want this TV! The curved screen really adds a lot of dimension. I bet watching Jurassic Park on it would be awesome!
I love Best Buy. We get everything there and this TV is awesome. We will be looking for a new TV for our family room.

It’s amazing how far TV’s have come, isn’t it? I remember my Grandparents having a big TV in a cabinet with many of the same effects you mentioned! Now they are big, but also so clear and sharp. I have the same question Sabrina asked in the prior question about the difference between HDTV and UHD?

I had to make sure I knew the proper answer and not just my observations. Here’s what I found– “The 4k image is smoother, and has more detail than the 1080p image. The difference is because the higher pixel count of a 4k screen allows for a more natural representation of the picture, with smoother outlines for distinct objects and added detail in the image.”
How noticeable is the difference between HDTV and UHD?
The color is a lot sharper and picture seems to be more defined. I could almost imagine being in the places pictured. This television is amazing. I love how crisp and clear the display is and the size of it is captivating as well.
I actually saw this television while visiting a local big box store with my husband recently and we stopped to watch in awe. The curve is an amazing asset and the picture was so unbelievably clear!

I remember those big clunky TVs–I still have one actually but it sits in my entertainment center. I don’t watch too often so I am still good with it. My Mom on the other hand watches a lot of TV and her TV is beginning to slowly die. I will take her to Best Buy and see if I can convince her to get a state of the art TV like the one above—she just does not need that large a screen!
