Laser X Revolution Review

I have a secret to admit. I enjoy playing laser tag as much as the kids. But, in this new world of COVID, meeting up with friends for an indoor game isn’t happening now. That’s why I was thrilled to discover the Laser X Two-Player Revolution Blasters and the Laser X Micro b2 Blasters. These sets allow us to play laser tag at home whenever we want.

Samples and compensation were received but all opinions are our own.

Why Laser X?

If you are struggling to find activities for the entire family that doesn’t involve screen time, the Laser X toys are for you. They encourage physical activity-after all, you’re trying to avoid being “hit,”-strategic thinking, and, if you’re playing as a group, teamwork and communication. Laser X has a variety of sets, all of which are compatible, and has been tagged the “#1 home laser tag game on the planet.”

Laser X Two Player Revolution- This set has everything you need for two players; two laser guns and two vests. You will also need 6 AAA batteries which are NOT included. Designed for ages 6 and up, the lasers measure 6 inches high and 10 1/2 inches long, making them easy to grip.

Highlights of Laser X Revolution Set

  • The set can be used indoors and outdoors in both bright light, sunlight, or darkness.
  • Laser X has a range of 300 feet-as long as a football field-making it a great activity to use with social distancing. You don’t have to get close to your opponents to blast them.
  • The Laser X sets can be expanded to include as many players as you’d like.
  • There are more than 20 colors of lights to choose from; pick your favorite for yourself or your team.
  • Beams can go through windows and bounce off mirrors and walls- allowing you to use strategic skills to blast your opponent.
  • Laser X has sensors that allow an interactive voice coach to offer tips and tricks throughout the game.
  • Quick action reload lets players continue the game in seconds.

The Laser X Two Player Micro B2 Blaster Laser Tag Gaming Set– This set is also designed for ages 6 and up and requires 6 AAA batteries that are NOT included. There are a few differences in this set:

  • Lasers are smaller, at 5 1/2 inches in both height and width, and only 1 1/4 inches around. These are perfect for smaller hands and are a great addition to a set if you have younger children who want to play with their siblings.
  • There are no receiver vests. The receivers are attached to the laser and can be attached with an armband.
  • These have a shorter range of 100 feet.
  • This set has digital lights and sound effects.

There are 3 ways to play Laser X; one-to-one, in teams, or “rogue,” a game where everyone is on their own. Both team and rogue games can include an unlimited number of players. The sets are reasonably priced too; the Laser X Revolution set is $39.99 and the Micro-Blasters set is $19.99. Both sets are available at Target or at Target.com and at GetLaserRX.

These sets would make a great Christmas or Hanukkah presents for any boys or girls on your list. Do you know someone who enjoy receiving a set of Laser X toys?
