How To Make A Family Fun Easter Basket

Easter usually brings to mind Easter baskets chock-full of sweet treats like hollow chocolate bunnies and lambs. In fact, 65% of Americans have a favorite Easter treat, whether they celebrate it or not! Still, 91% of Americans have at least one Easter treat they think is over-rated. We do too, which is why this year we decided to switch it up and make a Family Fun Easter Basket instead of our traditional candy hauls!

Thank you Frito-Lay for sponsoring this post. This spring, try the new twist on seasonal snacking!

One of the staples in the traditional Easter basket is candy animals. Chocolate bunnies, chocolate lambs, little candy chickens. They’re almost too cute to eat! This year, we’re granting amnesty to those cute little animals in favor of something new.

For our Family Fun Easter Basket, we’re going a different direction.  The Cheetos brand, the masters of cheese, have brought back their Cheetos Sweetos Cinnamon Sugar snacks in time for Easter. They’re available for a limited time only, so they’re a perfect seasonal treat to add to our Family Fun Easter Basket!

Sweetos are sweet enough, so we decided to fill the rest of the basket with fun items to enjoy together as a family! We all enjoy different hobbies and activities, but there are a few things we can all agree on.

One of those things is a love of movies. We added a couple of movies to our basket to watch together as a family. We decided to roll with the family bonding theme, and we added a video game with multi-player mode for the guys. Since we’re expecting a baby in the family in just a few short weeks, it made sense to add some children’s books so we could all read together!

Join us in creating a nontraditional Easter basket and give amnesty to the cute baby animals!

The awesome thing about a Family Fun Easter Basket is that it’s totally customizable. If your family loves spending time outside, you can add outdoor activities like a Frisbee and a kite. If your family loves adventure, add in a few passes to local parks and some personalized water bottles. Don’t forget the Sweetos for when you get hungry from all that activity!
