Homemade Lemon Sugar Scrub Recipe

While the weather outside is frightful, staying inside is delightful. Unfortunately, the dry air, the cold, and the indoor heat is doing a number on my skin. Every day I seem to discover another patch of dry skin. Even my lips are chapped. This is the time of year when I begin to make my own skin scrubs. They’re usually easy to make, they’re low cost, and they get rid of dry, cracked skin. A few years ago I discovered this Homemade Lemon Sugar Scrub Recipe. I don’t remember where the recipe originated. I think I found it in a book that was titled something like, “Homemade, Best Made.”

You can also make a salt scrub by substituting 1/2 cup coarse sea salt for the sugar.  Either way,  the scrub makes my skin feel great.
