I decided when my children were born that one of the ways I would know if I succeeded as a parent would be if my children grew to be compassionate, caring adults who gave to those who were in need and stood up for causes they believed in. I remember our first giving project when my daughter was a toddler. She was insistent the doll we were donating to a child in need would be better off staying with her. “But I need it!” she informed me. All the projects we did must have finally rubbed off, because a couple of years ago she introduced me to one of her favorite charities, GreaterGood. They support amazing causes like animal welfare, hunger, breast cancer, veterans, autism, Alzheimers, diabetes, literacy and the rain forest. Since that time, we both have become loyal customers. Recently, I was thrilled learned Novica, a division of National Geographic, was partnering their artisan products with GreaterGood stores.
As a contributor to the Novica blog, I know first hand the quality of their products and often use them for entertaining. (I have quite the collection of glassware!)
