Family Game Night

“Are you ready for some football?” I heard this song for years on Monday nights so it was no surprise to discover the “men” in my family are huge fans of the NCAA Football 12 Game for Xbox from EA Sports. This is a simulation game,  allowing them to play along with their favorite college football teams -UGA, Go Dogs!-in two different settings, Dynasty Mode or Road To Glory. The only complaint I’ve heard about the game is from the nine year old who sometimes scores for the opposing team by accident!

The guys have developed their own game night traditions including learning how to connect the Xbox onto a projector to create a huge playing field, a bevy of their favorite snacks and occasionally, inviting friends over to join in the fun of playing video games.

Getting ready for some serious game play

On July 10th our family will have another reason to celebrate with the release of NCAA football 13 at Walmart. With new features to enhance game play, even I, the person my entire family teases about my lack of football knowledge, can become an expert. The Heisman challenge will allow us to play as one of eleven former trophy winners, including UGA running back Hershel Walker, using their skills in an attempt to win another trophy. An all new Passing Game provides advanced receiver control and the reaction time slows down key movements making it easier for us to sense things before they happen.

I’m impressed with the graphics too

I’m looking forward to the Reaction Time feature, allowing the game to slow down during key moments, so I can sense things before they happen. My football skills are legendary- in a bad way- and I need the opportunity to increase my on-field awareness.   Dynamic Dynasty, which allows my recruiting grades to change each week based on performance may not be the best feature for me but I know the guys will love it.

Although I’ve told the kids about NCAA 13, I haven’t told them the exciting news associated with this #cbias campaign. By visiting the  NCAA You’re Covered! App on facebook, I can place their photo on the cover of the new game! I wonder if I can make two cover photos so there will be no arguing over who is the star? Be sure to stay tuned for my upcoming review and a chance to win a copy for yourself.

  3. My football skills are legendary in a bad way, too LOL Love that! My boys have a great time playing NCAA 12 and I hope, as you do, that I can print off two covers and maybe even frame them, which I think would be super cute on a game room wall.

  4. My son is too young to place this game but the hubs would love it. I’m sure he can’t wait for the little one to be able to play with him!
