Simple Strawberry Pie Recipe

Thanks to a recent dinner at my Mother in law’s home  I have a new recipe for those summer strawberries. Not only is it incredibly easy, it tastes delicious. When we commented on how good it tasted, my mother in law claimed it was “the easiest pie she had ever made.”

Recipe:
One package pie crusts, baked
1 box (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
1 package (16 ounces) Strawberries, sliced
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons cornstarch

Directions:
Mix water, gelatin, sugar, and cornstarch together in a saucepan. Cook until boiling, stirring often. Remove from heat.

Add sliced strawberries equally to the bottom of the two pie crusts.

Pour gelatin mixture equally over strawberries and store in the fridge until firm. (This will take at least a couple of hours so I suggest making them the day before. )

When the pie is firm, top with whipped topping. Keep leftovers in the fridge.
