Homemade Frozen Yogurt Pops Recipe

I am stepping out of the kitchen for the next few weeks to showcase some of my friend’s recipes. For anyone who wants to get the kids involved with cooking, Emmi, from Mommy’s “Free” Time, shows us a quick and easy way to make homemade yogurt pops.

Beat the heat with this fun and easy summer treat. One of my friends made these for her kiddos so I took a cue from her and made them for my munchkins!

You just need two simple ingredients.
1- those DIY popsicle makers that you can buy almost anywhere during the summer. I got mine at the Dollar General store for less than $5 and they even have the cool little straw on the side.
2- Yogurt: You can use whatever kind of yogurt you have in the fridge. We had a few go-gurts left so I thought it would be fun to use them. They always have fun flavors and bright colors.
Variations: You can also use frozen or fresh fruit to make it a healthier treat.

First, layer the yogurt into each slot. One Go-gurt wouldn’t completely fill up a slot so I decided to use a different flavor to finish filling it. As you can see they made an awesome two flavor swirl! Get as creative as you want!

Place in the freezer for a few hours then take them out. I placed the whole kit in a bowl of warm water for a minute or so to help ease them out before giving them to the kids. I’ve been known to pull them out too hard and come up with nothing but a stick…LOL.

Finally ENJOY!
