5 Minute Gingerbread Salt Scrub Recipe

Have you ever found yourself in need of a last minute present? Or, better yet, have you found a few minutes to pamper yourself over the holidays? If you’ve been in either of these situations (although the last one is a rare occurrence), then you need something quick and easy to help out. This five-minute gingerbread salt scrub recipe is easy to make and smells so good. Even better, it only has four easy to find ingredients.

Like all my recipes, I recommend that you adjust the ingredients to suit your taste- or in this case, your sense of smell.  I like a whiff of gingerbread, but if you like a stronger scent just add more cinnamon oil and gingerbread spice.  I’ve also found that olive oil changes the smell for me slightly, so I prefer to use coconut oil or almond oil because of their milder scents. It’s all a matter of personal preference.

Before you begin, gather all your supplies. You’ll need:

Gingerbread spice (found in the spice section of your local grocery or big box store)
cinnamon essential oil
epsom salts (find it in the bath section)
an oil of your choice-almond, tea tree, olive, or coconut oil are all fine to use.
a small container- you can use small mason jars, apothecary jars, or even a plastic container with a lid.
