3 Quick Ways To Sport Super Summer Fashions

The summer season is getting ever closer, and those  of us who have booked early vacations are  getting ready for the sun.  You can update your wardrobe to add some summer style in three quick and easy ways without spending a fortune or having to rent another room to store all your clothing in! For most of us, summer is about looser, more comfortable clothing that gives our skin a chance to get some fresh air and soak up some much-needed vitamin D. It’s about relaxing in warmer weather, getting some down-time and enjoying the outdoors – whether it’s on the beach, in the park or just in the back garden. It’s a time to buy clothes in brighter colors, light weight fabrics and cool summer styles. How can you do this?

1. Start by getting the foundations right. If you’re going to be exposing more skin, make sure it’s in the best condition. If you’ve been guilty of just “keeping your skin going” through winter, you need to prepare it for better weather and protect it against the sun. Exfoliation will help to remove dead skin cells and give your skin the healthy glow that summer’s all about. Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins, and use good quality cleansers and moisturizers to help your skin stay fresh and retain moisture. Use sunscreen, or products that include UV protection, even when the sun’s not fully out, to protect from sunburn and allow you to wear vest tops, short sleeves, dresses and shorts with confidence.

2. Buy a few key summer pieces for your wardrobe. A pretty dress can work well on lots of occasions – dress down with flip flops and a ladies waterproof jacket or stick on a pair of heels, put your hair up and add a wrap for a more stylish twist. There are lots of stunning dresses and skirts in summer collections online and on the high street, so you should be able to find something that’s just right for you. The same applies to a great pair of tailored shorts and a shirt that can be worn on its own or as a layer over your bikini top or a t-shirt.

3. Don’t forget some summer shoes. Open-toed shoes, flip-flops and sandals are all signs that summer is here. Look after your feet, and you’ll look fantastic at work or at play. You can go for flat pumps, more formal heeled sandals or something jewelled and playful and transform a simple outfit like denim jeans and a t-shirt without even trying.
