Here are 11 low cost Romantic Date Ideas:

1. Make it a “Date Day” instead of night. When you do this you can eat off of your favorite restaurant’s lunch menu instead of dinner menu. This will save you several dollars. Many restaurants have lunch menus on the weekend. I suggest you call around first to confirm which offer a weekend lunch menu.

2. A. My favorite tip is getting a family member to watch the kids. One of the largest cost factors we face when going out is paying the babysitter. Grandparents can be a great place to start!

B. If you do not have family to help try making a “swap deal” with friends. You will watch their kids one week while they go out and in return they watch your kids while you go out.”

3. Stay home and make dinner TOGETHER! Get him in the kitchen and help you. Make it fun! You might be surprised how fun it can be cooking together. Then enjoy the meal that you created together. I like to add some wine!

4. Live near a beach? Pack a meal (don’t forget a blanket) and head to the water. Take a walk along the sand and then find a quiet place to lay out a blanket and have a romantic meal by the water. You could also do something like this near a lake.

5. See a matinee. Save even more if you see the movies before noon! You can save a lot by going to an early movie.

6. Go to red box or your local movie shop and pick out a ROMANTIC movie. The classics are always great! Get your favorite snacks and comfy clothes and curl up on the couch under a blanket.

7. Find a local massage school. You can typically get a massage for at least half the price of a spa. Ask for a room together. The relaxing time will be quality time for you both!

8. Check the schedule at your local coffee shops. Many have live bands on certain nights. Grab a drink and a dessert to and enjoy some free entertainment.

9. Drive in Theaters. You may have to search for one. They usually play movies that are a little older. And you should check for the times. If you can find one take your snacks and drinks with you to avoid that cost.

10. Visit a winery. It’s fun and there is free wine!

11. Live near an airport? Drive till you find quiet place you can park. Grab a blanket and lay on the ground, on the hood of the car or bed of the truck and watch the planes go by. You can dream of the places you would like to go one day. Talk about what you would do there. It is so fun to dream together. Take a snack or pack a meal and stay a while.

Now grab your sweetie and a “Dinner on a Date” idea and go have some fun together! What are you favorite low cost date ideas?
