McDonald’s CopyKat Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

lemonade

Have you ever had a craving for a food from your favorite restaurant? I have. You can ask my kids about the time I became obsessed with finding the perfect peanut butter sundae. Thankfully, I received a copy of Stephanie Manley’s Dining Out at Home CopyKat cookbook, Volume 2 for review. Now when I become obsessed with a recipe, it’s much easier to make it at home. During the summer I enjoy frozen lemonade drinks, like the Taco Bell Pina Colada Frutista Freeze I shared earlier from the CopyKat Cookbook, so when I saw a recipe for McDonald’s Frozen Strawberry Lemonade, I whipped up a batch for our family. The recipe is so simple. It has three ingredients and one of them is ice!  I like Cherry Lemonade also so I substituted  ingredients and made a batch of Cherry Lemonade too. The possibilities are endless with this recipe. So many lemonade combinations, so little time to enjoy them all before summer is over.

A simple frozen lemonade drink with endless possibilities.

  • 2 cups lemonade (you can make it from scratch, from concentrate, from a mix, Ms. Manley recommends Country Time, or buy a bottle of premade if you are in a hurry)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 2 teaspoons strawberry ice cream topping (Substitute any type of fruit topping you want. I’ve tried cherry, mixed berry and pineapple. It works with any of them.)
Instructions
