Thanksgiving Party Potatoes Recipe

Whats Cook’en?

We love potatoes. This recipe is delicious although it is high calorie. I only make it for special occasions but it is requested by everyone when I am asked to bring a side dish to a meal.

Ingredients:
1 package instant mashed potatoes, prepared as directed on package
(you can use leftover or fresh homemade mashed potatoes too, it’s just easier to use instant)
1/2 cup (4 ounces) sour cream
1 (3 ounce package) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1/2 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheese (use your favorite flavor- I usually use Italian four cheese blend)
3/4 cup crushed cracker crumbs or bread crumbs

Directions:
Prepare potatoes as directed on package. Mix in sour cream and cream cheese. (I use a mixer to do this) When well blended, add the shredded cheese and stir.  Top with the crushed cracker crumbs and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until heated through.
