3 Ways To Use Stale Bread

1. Make Your Own  Homemade Croutons

Cut stale slices of bread into half-inch cubes. Melt three tablespoons of butter in a skillet and add spices of your choice. (I like garlic powder or seasoned salt.) I use a teaspoon for each two cups of bread cubes I have. Stir until lightly browned. Serve with soup or salad. Store these in the freezer.

2.  Make your Own Seasoned Bread Crumbs.
Place the bread in a food processor and grind into crumbs. Stir in one teaspoon Italian seasoning for each cup crumbs. Use in meatloaf or anything calling for bread crumbs. I store the leftovers in the freezer.

3. Make  an easy Breakfast casserole.

This is a super simple recipe for an easy breakfast idea that my family loves.  Prepare in advance and store in the fridge overnight.  The casserole can put in the oven as soon as you get up and it will be ready for a lazy brunch.
