Upside Down Deep Dish Pizza Recipe

Upside Down Pizza

Sometimes I have a craving for pizza. The melted cheese, the sweet Italian sauce,  just thinking about it makes my mouth water.  When I discovered this Upside Down Deep Dish Pizza recipe on the   Ragú website using   Ragú Old World Traditional Style Sauce, I knew I had to try it. It’s a fun twist on traditional pizza and so easy to assemble. Because it’s made in a casserole dish, I had no problem transporting it to potluck dinners with friends. This dish has been a hit with the entire family, with my husband assuring me it was his favorite dish out of three new recipes I had tried lately.   I adapted their recipe to give it our own unique twist, adding our favorite veggies, onions, pepper and mushrooms, plus topped it with pepperoni for more pizza goodness. Even my son, the king of picky eaters,  told me, “This is really good, Mom, but next time leave out the mushrooms.” The beauty of this  recipe  is that I can substitute any sort of vegetable or meat I want or have on hand.
