I am a bit of a cleaning fanatic. I have a (mental ) checklist of daily chores that need to be done for my peace of mind. The kids don’t agree with me and think their peace of mind involves less cleaning and more relaxing, but they are wrong. Over the past year, I’ve been a Swiffer fanatic (although I was already one before I officially received the title. My kids are not sure how I can use my Swiffer sweeper and Swiffer vac everyday. Trust me, with kids and cats it would be possible to use them multiple times a day.) One of my favorite things about the program has been Swiffer’s willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity to give back to others who are experiencing the joy of home ownership, often for the first time.
To help celebrate Swiffer’s partnership with the Property Brothers’ Jonathon Scott and their Clean Slate program, I volunteered to donate a box of Swiffer products to our local Habitat to Humanity. At the present time our local office has 10 houses they are building or refurbishing. When I dropped off our supplies, including Swiffer dusters, a Swiffer, a Swiffer Wet Jet, Mr. Clean Erasers and more, I was pleased to learn the products were going to a lady who was thrilled to be having her home refurbished.

Swiffer has shared a few more cleaning hacks to get the house cleaned and move in ready.
*Have new drinking glasses or plates with those annoying price tags you need to remove? Use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to wipe the tags right off.
*Keep all the cleaning supplies you use often in one place. Add a adhesive hook to the wall to hang up your Swiffer products.
*Place a basket by the door to encourage people to remove their shoes whenever they came into the house. This is especially good for my kids and hubby, as they seem to find mud.
*Use felt pads on the bottom of your furniture to keep scratches off the new wood floors.

I don’t think we could live without our Swiffer. With a dog and cat in the house, and a crawling baby, we always seem to be cleaning the floor.
We have a local Habitat for Humanity ReStore that I visit quite often. I love to shop there, and I love that it helps to build homes for those in need. I totally support their efforts.
Want to know something crazy? I purposedully leave the price tag on the bottoms of things. I think it’ll be funny to look at them in thirty years and laugh at how inexpensive they were. When I’m ready I’ll be glad to know how to get off decades-old tags.
Swiffer has great products for cleaning the house. I will have to share these tips with my parents. They are moving next month.

Just the word “move” gives me anxiety. When we moved we cleaned our house from top to bottom but then arrived to our new house to find the previous owners had hardly cleaned it. Even a dirty fridge… so frustrating.

Great tips! We moved last summer which was the biggest stressful event with 6 kids…. We love swiffer and before we took possession of our new house I came into the new house and swiffered every floor and did a good scrub.
We moved last year and it was stressful with two young kids. Luckily, we had some help and we learned some tricks along the way. These are great moving tips!
