How to Make a Cold & Flu Relief Gift Basket

Thanks to Maty’s for partnering with me to help make this cold and flu season a little easier!
I love the holidays. October, November and December are my favorite months of the year with the sights, the smells and the holiday festivities. The downside of the holidays? The colds, flu, and allergies that always creep up around this time of year. I can remember years when I’ve spent at least one holiday in the ER with a sick child. If we are not in the ER, what’s a holiday without the sniffles? (Hint: A good one.) This year I am prepared with a handy care basket I’ve made to send to my son who is away at college. Having  supplies and  fun activities can make those colds  a little easier to cope with. Here’s how I made my Care Package.
Giftbasket

I started with a small basket I had on hand. Then, I added the basic necessities everyone needs when feeling bad; tissues, peppermints, and Maty’s All Natural Products, including their Petroleum Free Vapor Rub and their organic cough syrup. All of their products are made with whole-food ingredients that come from Mother Nature, like essential oils, sea salt and buckwheat honey. None of the products include artificial preservatives, color additives or sweeteners or corn, dairy, wheat, soy or yeast. That means my Celiac daughter can use them, along with the new baby, whom we are told, must be kept away from any products containing gluten for the first two years of her life.

I rounded off the basket with a can of chicken noodle soup, a mug with tea bags and a chocolate bar, because I think chocolate makes everything better! It’s a great care package or gift basket for anyone feeling a little under the weather. It makes me feel better knowing I am giving the kids products that have no parabens and, since I am a huge animal lover, not tested on animals.
