Easy Jack O’ Lantern Glasses for Halloween

Every year in October, the kids have a list of Halloween activities they want to do. The list begins with making a Halloween pumpkin and  continues with Halloween decoration ideas, all designed to cause me more work. While I am all about making cute crafts and recipes for the holidays, I don’t have the time to do everything my kids would enjoy. That’s why I believe in easy Halloween crafts, like these Jack O’ Lantern face glasses.  I fill them with creamy orange pudding for a special treat.  The best part? They take around ten minutes to make and can be made with items you probably already have. Win-win.

How to Make Jack O Lantern Face Glasses:

You’ll need the following supplies:
wine glasses (I used actual glass, but plastic glasses will work just as well for younger kids and won’t get broken)
Black Electrical Tape
Scissors
1  package of vanilla pudding and amount of milk called for on package
Orange gel food coloring
Gummy worms, optional

Step 1: Wash and dry the glasses.

Step 2: Cut three triangles from the electrical tape for each glass you plan to make.  Tip: To get all the triangles the same size, I cut one triangle and then used it as my pattern for the rest of the glasses.

Step 3: Place two triangles approximately an inch from the top of each glass for eyes. Center another triangle approximately ¼ inch below the eyes.

Step 4: Cut a mouth from electrical tape. Tip: I can’t make fancy mouths so I used the leftover tape from cutting out the triangles. Place the mouth beneath the nose on the glass.  Set the glasses aside.

Step 5: Mix pudding as directed on package.  Add a drop of orange gel food coloring and stir. Add more until the desired color is reached.

Step 6: Divide the pudding mixture between the glasses, making sure the pudding comes up to the eye level.  Optional: Dangle gummy worms over the side of the glasses, if desired.  These glasses make cute Halloween decorations at a party, plus they have the advantage of being able to be eaten.
