Easy Easter Bunny Pictures

Last week I shared how to make my five minute Shamrock pictures for St. Patrick’s Day. They cost me around $7.50 to make because I “splurged” and spent $6 on a set of pictures at the thrift store to get a set of matching frames I really liked. Then, I thought about it, which can be a good or bad thing depending on whom you talk too, and realized I could reuse these frames to make pictures for every holiday or season.  I dug through my basket of Easter Supplies I picked up on clearance last year and found some cute little bunnies.  I knew when I purchased them I would find a good use for them, just didn’t know what it was at the time!  If you don’t have any cute little bunnies lying around, I saw them in packages at the Dollar Tree this year.
DIY Easter Picture

I started with six styrofoam bunny picks and removed the wooden sticks.  I picked up a piece of green burlap scrapbook paper from Michaels and cut it to fit each frame.

I positioned the bunnies onto the piece of burlap until I had them where I wanted them. Because the bunnies are three dimensional, I glued them into place to get them to stick. You can use craft glue if you don’t mind drying time, or use some super glue and have them completed in a minute.

Once the glue had dried, I placed the burlap onto the frame and tacked it into place. I loved the 3D feel of this picture. Best of all, it cost less than $1.75 to make both pictures!  (The bunnies cost 20 cents each on clearance and I snagged the green burlap on clearance for 29 cents. It pays to always search through the craft store clearance sections!)

Do you have a simple, low cost craft you want to make this Easter?
