5 Ways to Make Bath Time Fun for Babies

Most babies love baths. Some, like my daughter, would prefer to splash in the water for about ten seconds before trying to escape. Because she isn’t your usual bath-loving baby, I am always looking for ways to make bath time fun for babies. However, even if your baby loves spending time in the bath, these are great ideas to switch up your usual routine!

5 Ways To Make Bath Time Fun For Babies:

1. Bath Books
These short, water-proof books are a great way to make bath time more stimulating for baby. Read the book to your baby, then let them interact with it without worrying about it getting damaged. These books are also great because they can stand up to a whole lot of slobber. It’s a win-win!

2. Add some bubbles!
Kids love bubbles. It’s a fact. That’s why using kid-friendly soap to make a bubble bath is a great way to make bath time more fun. Younger kids enjoy interacting with the bubbles, but older kids can get more creative, doing things like making fake beards from the bubbles. Just watch those little hands and make sure none of the bubbles are making their way towards tiny mouths– yuck!

3. Bath Crayons
This is more suitable for toddlers and kids than babies, but bath crayons are a fun and easy way to change up a bath time routine. These non-toxic crayons allow your child to draw on the bathtub and surrounding tiles, and comes clean easily!

4. Change the color.
One of the coolest kid friendly bath innovations I’ve seen is little tablets you drop into the bath to make it change colors. Think bath bombs, but for kids! Let your toddler or child pick out the color they want to add to the bath, or pretend it’s a science experiment and let them add several colors just to see what happens.

5. Don’t forget the toys!
Bath toys are a lot of fun for babies, toddlers, and kids, but they can get pricey. If you don’t have a bath toy collection, don’t worry. Kids will have just as much fun playing with spoons, bowls, and cups! Pouring water from one container to another is also a sneaky way for kids to learn about volume. They’ll never know they’re learning!

And the best way to keep bath time fun? With soaps that don’t hurt little skin. Baby Magic products are paraben free and specially formulated for your child’s sensitive skin. Baby Magic has been around since 1951 and is celebrating their 65th anniversary this year.
