Lunch is Served with Hot Pockets
“I love me some Hot Pockets!” That’s the first words from my son’s mouth when he saw we had received Hot Pocket coupons. As you can imagine after reading those words, I pick up at least one box of Hot Pockets whenever I go grocery shopping to keep in the freezer for quick lunches. Add a salad and possibly a fruit cup and I have a completed meal ready in less than five minutes from start to finish, depending on how slowly it takes me to get everything out of the freezer with distractions. In my microwave I can have the Hot Pocket cooked in 1 minute and 30 seconds. Not too shabby!
has developed some new Limited Edition offerings and we had to get the scoop. Four Cheese Garlic Pasta Bake includes pasta, four cheese and garlic baked into the traditional shell and Spicy Hawaiian Style Pizza includes the goodness of a spicy pizza with a hint of pineapple. We like to try the new editions but we always revert back to our favorite, Meatball and Mozzarella. Of course, Hot Pockets has plenty of new varieties to keep us on our toes. They have new Pretzel Bread, Sideshots (that are the size of sliders and look like mini filled rolls), Cheese stuffed crust, Deep Dish pizzeria as well as the traditional offerings.
For myself, I like the Lean Pocket varieties. These are lower in fat and calories than traditional Hot Pockets, come in a staggering amount of varieties and even include breakfast sandwiches for the mornings when I am pushed for time. (This happens a lot around my house.) They are also good for meals when I am home by myself and don’t want to cook just for me. I had the Italian Style Meatballs and reduced fat mozzarella and couldn’t tell a difference in taste from the regular variety. Hot Pockets are quick, convenient and taste good, everything my family wants in a meal.
My son was a little disappointed I only picked up four boxes but I promised we would get more later and he could pick out the types he wanted.
