Each year I struggle over gifts to purchase for my in-laws. After years of having the gifts returned to me after a month or worse, they forgot who gave them the gift and complained about it to me, I tried a different approach. Bryan was placed in charge of buying their presents. When they opened the gift I would cheerfully say, “Bryan picked this out especially for you.” While they still weren’t thrilled with the gifts, they no longer returned them. The problem was Bryan waited until the last minute to shop. He did pick up some “interesting” gifts. Finally, I took over the gift shopping again.
|My Mother in Law would like this|
Novica , a company in association with National Geographic, produces lovely hand crafted artisan gifts from designers around the world. Their unique and unusual pieces satisfy the pickiest in-laws. Last year I found a lovely necklace for my mother in law and I actually saw her wearing it several times! My problem with Novica was their large selection. While that’s a good thing, I had to wade through pages and pages of gifts trying to find the perfect one. This year they’ve added a new feature to their website that has made my shopping easier, The Artisan Powered Gift Finder. I can find gifts by price range, by family member (his, hers, teens, etc) , by interests, by regions and so much more. Don’t misunderstand me, there are still tons of gifts in each category but now I have a starting point for my family members and friends.
|I want this one!|
I began my search by choosing a price range and an interest type. I chose Pet Lovers and found the cutest statues of cats in different yoga poses. Forget the other people on my list, I’d like one of these statues for me! I have the perfect place in my home picked out to place this statue. If you have a difficult person to shop for on your Christmas list, be sure to try the Gift Finder. Since these orders are sent from around the world order by December 12th to receive guaranteed shipping by December 24th.
One person will receive a $40 gift code to Novica.
