Dorm Essentials: Ludens Cough Drops (up for grabs)

by Pam on April 23, 2012

The contest is closed. The winner is listed on the rafflecopter below.

I’m preparing for the departure of my eldest child as she heads off to college this fall. She wants the joys and adventures of staying in a dorm and being eight hours away from home. That’s all well and good, except she is a sickly child.  I am not exaggerating when I say she catches the rare and mysterious diseases. The child has even been struck by lightning.  After her recent bout of illness that mystified the doctors, she said, “Everytime I go to outside I get sick. Maybe I should stay in my room and not come out!”  Needless to say, I plan to send her to college with a well stocked first aid kit.  Because we live in the South and she plans to attend to college in the mid-west, she will be experiencing a colder winter than we have here. I expect plenty of bouts with cold and flu.  To ward off the sore throats I know she will have, I am sending her favorite cough drops, Ludens.

For over 130 glorious years people have turned to Luden’s® throat drops to soothe sore and irritated throats.

I liked the Wild Cherry cough drops so much when I was a kid, I used to try to eat them like candy. I didn’t succeed, but I tried.  Luden’s has expanded their flavors since I was young. Included now are Wild Berry, Wild Honey, Honey Licorice,  Honey Lemon,  Cool Menthol and a Sugar Free Wild Cherry. I keep a bag of the Honey Lemon and the Wild Cherry in our home first aid kit.

We received the Wild Cherry, Wild Berry, and Sugar Free Cherry Varieties. These don’t taste like traditional cough drops (one important reason my children like them.) Instead, they have a milder, less medicinal taste.  Their newest addition, Orange Supplemental Drops, are made from real orange juice and one drop contains a 100% daily value of Vitamin C.  At least I will know she is receiving Vitamin C to help fight off infections.

Do you like to sing? Could you use  $2500?  Enter the LaLa Ludens Jingle Contest. You can enter by submitting a video of you singing your 30-60 second jingle based on the theme, “Surprisingly Soothing. Simply Delicious!” Your original jingle can be instrumental, acoustic, silly or fun – just be sure your entry tells us why you love Luden’s!

Want  to save money and try Luden’s ?   I found a coupon for $1.00 off two bags of Luden products.
